Indiana Occupational Therapy Association

Volunteer Opportunities

IOTA is always looking for dedicated and committed volunteers to lead our special interest sections, join our committees or serve the organization as a whole.

Volunteer committees:

  • Legislative and Advocacy Committee
  • Membership Committee
  • DEI Committee
  • Conference/Continuing Education Committee
  • Approved Provider Committee

Why volunteer?

  • Network with practitioners state-wide
Learning from other practitioners has numerous benefits. We share cultural experiences of how to apply the framework of occupational performance in numerous areas such as urban, suburban, or rural areas of our state.
  • Earn CEUs for licensure
Being a Special Interest Section chair, holding an office, or chairing a committee can qualify as professional development that you earn toward renewing your state license.
  • Have a voice
IOTA officers, special interest section chairs and committee chairs are asked to give input to legislative decisions that impact day-to-day therapy through the updating of the scope of practice.
Contact info@inota.com if you're interested in volunteering.
